Highlight on Guest Instructor Olin Bare: Traditional Archery Workshop

Olin Bare is a member of the Virginia Bow Hunters Association, International Bow Hunters Association, Augusta Archers, Bear Archery Pro Staff, and is a Target Archery Marshal for the Society for Creative Anachronism. Olin was a 2011 Virginia State Traditional Archery Champion. The event he discusses is part of the 2010 Virginia Foundation for the Humanities Folk Life Master and Apprentice Program. Olin also founded the Horseback Orienteering program at the Virginia Horse Center. Highlight on Guest Instructor: Rachel Campbell Deddens

  A native of Amherst County, Rachel has developed a passion for hearth cooking over the past twenty plus years. She directs demonstrations, classes and programs, and offers consultation in food history and culinary arts of the past. Her formal education includes a BA degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College with a major in history and primary concentration on women’s history and religion.
