Blending time-honored wisdom and ritual with historic practical skills we can utilize in our modern age, we offer you and yours a chance to depart from the everyday and enjoy a change of scenery, as well as, a change of heart. As above, so below. Words of profound wisdom offered by the highest souls. If we understand their true meaning, we can take heart in the fact that creation mirrors creation. Observing Nature, we observe ourselves, so do we unlock the potential to access distinctly ancient knowledge, needed now by humanity, perhaps, more than ever before. As we nurture awareness of that which is without, or outside of us, we can better understand that which is within.

Our ancestors were intimately connected within a world where the changing of the seasons brought a whole host of duties, dishes and rituals specific to the natural occasion. We feel extraordinarily fortunate to witness, from atop our ‘little mountain’ here in Nelson County, the sacred transformations of Mother Nature as She moves through her cycles, both within and without us. ‘The Wheel of the Year’ is a title given to the annual collection of seasonal, Agrarian Festivals, observed by ancients and moderns alike. The ‘Wheel’ consists of eight festivals: the solstices and equinoxes, also known as the ‘quarter days’ and the four midpoints between, known as the ‘cross quarter days’. We will honor each of these festivals, also adding Easter, as a most sacred day of observation, to our events schedule. If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, these dates host the opposite of what is happening in the Northern Hemisphere. Please mark your calendar for one or all of these opportunities to flourish, nourish and honor the ever-turning Wheel, beginning with our dearest Mother Nature’s summer to fall transition. All of us are extensions of a loving, eternal, infinite intelligence – let’s celebrate together!
